MOUNTAIN BIKE LEGEND CAM MCCAUL MEETS THE SLOPESTYLE’S “KING OF CONSISTENCY” THOMAS GENON AT ARDECHE, FRANCE!
Mountain bike legend, American decent Cam McCaul has been one of the popular freeride mountain biking rider for the last two decades. He went on a trip to France and meet the Slopestyle’s “King of Consistency”, Thomas Genon. Genon is from Belgium and he’s the last European rider that won the Crankworx Slopestyle Event. He recently bought a house an McCaul visited him!
McCaul and Genon met last 2012 at Whistler in the Redbull Joyride event, Genon won that event with a 90.20 score and made him the youngest Redbull Joyride Champion. Martin Soderstrom at the second spot with a 86.80 score and the Cam McCaul on the third place with a score of 82.80. They talked about what happened at the Redbull Joyride where Genon broke his tooth because he got a champagne shower from fellow finishers Soderstrom and McCaul after winning. So for the fancy house success and peace offering, McCaul gave him a gold set of teeth after six years. Funny though!
Part 1, where Genon taught McCaul the slopestyle ride tricks. Cam said that Genon has the best backyard place! We know, right? Part 2 where McCaul met Papa G a.k.a Marc Genon, father of Thomas. They ate together and Cam ask a lot of questions to Papa G, like what was Thomas like when he was still very young.
“Lots of energy he was always moving, always doing sports, he was always smiling and interested in everything.” – Marc Genon
His father was also a biker before and still even do biking until now, in cross country riding category. So the three of them ride their bikes together after eating. Cool!
Part 3 the last part, Cam and Thomas went to Le Jardin de Lyon. Together with a lot of bikers and Louis Reboul joins them, 5th place Redbull Joyride 2014.
At 11:59, all these bikers are just having fun and sharing off their intensifying passion! You just enjoy and love watching them! What an awesome day for McCaul and Genon!
