KILIAN BRON STEPPING UP HIS MOUNTAIN BIKE ADVENTURE IN A VIA FERRATA AT LA CLUSAZ, FRANCE!
An insanely intense video of Kilian Bron riding his mountain bike in a via ferrata at La Clusaz, France. Via ferrata is the latin for “iron way”, a protected climbing route found in certain locations and was increasingly used during the First World War. Hikers need to assure themselves in doing an activity like this, right? But we need to be more secure if you ride a mountain bike in this kind of place.
“The via ferrata is a mountain route equipped with steel cables, ladders, and other fixed anchors, for example wooden walkways and suspended bridges. The artificial equipment renders feasible an exposed route even to the inexperienced climber, and allows those not versed in climbing technique to hike on ledges, climb vertical walls, and reach the peaks of mountains.” – https://www.guidedolomiti.com
There are two types of Via Ferrata, first is a climbing route often found in France. Second is get between mountains. There are levels too, easy, medium, difficult, very difficult and extremely difficult.
Frenchman Kilian Bron put all his strength on this long and exposed journey. As you can see in 0:32, he was putting all his effort in climbing with a bike on his back.
In his Redbull interview,
“Beyond taking my bike to a Via Ferrata, it allowed me to get up quickly and reach beautiful peaks and exposed slabs. I wanted to enjoy both the climb and the descent … And it’s done by associating the Via Ferrata with the bike.” – Kilian Bron
Walking in a place where most people are afraid is dangerous but challenging! But Bron did it with a mountain bike in this via ferrata adventure. Mind blowing!
