Ruaridh Cunningham Takes Home The Victory At The Red Bull Hardline
Before the best of the best arrived in Wales for the Red Bull Hardline, Dan Atherton was given the keys to creating a difficult downhill track. Not only did Dan create a run, he built a monster downhill run so technical, so gnarly and so physically demanding that simply being able to finish it would be war of attrition and stamina. If anything Dan may have transformed the hillside in Wales into a run that was just too hard.
With so many riders crashing…who was able to tame this absolutely insane beast?
Ruaridh Cunningham took home the victory as he was not only the fastest down the track, he was able to win with a few seconds to spare.
In a recent interview:
The course was incredibly tough, mentally and physically the toughest I have ever ridden. It was good to see everyone get down safely and I am delighted to take the win
Former World Champion Gee Atherton posted a super human qualifying run but after he ended up with a flat it sealed the victory for Ruaridh Cunningham.
