THESE TWO WOMEN ARE REMARKABLE WHEN THEY ACHIEVED TO HIT HUGE JUMPS AT QUEENSTOWN!
Casey Brown and Vaea Verbeeck are world class mountain bike rider. They challenged themselves to learn and test their ability on mountain biking which is they wanted to try to hit big jumps and whips for the first time. Also, they invited some of men which are also a professional mountain biker to help them to do the big jumps, whip and to record the moment of flying. Casey Brown is based from New Zealand, riding for 14 years, became the queen of crankworx and known as the whip-off world championships. On the other hand, Vaea Verbeeck is crowned as Canadian National DH champion and won the Air DH at Crankworx Rotorua, NZ. By hitting huge drops and jumps on your mountain bike isn’t that really hard, you just need to master few core skills to obtain the control, balance and in a neutral position. Jumping is somewhat dangerous but if you already find the right top jump and start slow to figure it out.
“I’ve checked them out once and really want to hit them because it look perfect for whip jump and I wanted to learn how to whip so figured we should come.” – Vaea Verbeeck
Vaea hit his first huge jump at 2:33
“They built well, so they worked well. We all work together… confidence is key.” – Ryan Howard
Casey finally hit her first huge jump at 4:18.
If you add more speed and more pressure, you’ll fly higher and longer. It will really take some time to adjust your brain, body and bike to take off and land as what you intended to. It is relevant to practice on how to control your landing – rear wheel first, front wheel first, both wheels and then play with your distance and height.
“Have an sketchy moments but this is how it is.” – Casey Brown
